Congregational Order
The brothers and sisters should meet at least three or four times a week, to exercise themselves, in the teaching of Christ and His apostles and heartily to exhort one another to remain faithful to the Lord as they have pledged.
형제 자매들은 일주일에 적어도 서 네 번은 만나야 하는데 그 이유는 그리스도와 사도들의 가르침을 실천하고 주님을 신실하게 따르기로 서약한 지체들을 서로 권면하기 위함이다.
When the brothers and sisters are together, they shall take up something to read together. The one to whom God has given the best understanding shall explain it, the others should be still and listen, so that there are not two or three carrying on a private conversation, bothering the others. The Psalter shall be read daily at home.
형제 자매들이 모일 때는 항상 성경을 함께 읽어야 한다. 하나님께서 특별히 말씀의 은사를 주신 사람은 다른 지체 들에게 그 뜻을 잘 설명하고 다른 사람은 잠잠히 들어야 하는데 이는 두 세 사람이 개인적으로 따로 이야기 하는 것이 다른 지체들에게 방해가 되기 때문이다. 시편은 날마다 집에서 읽어야 할 말씀이다.
Let none be frivolous in the church of God, neither in words nor in action. Good conduct shall be maintained by them all also before the heathen.
When a brother sees his brother erring, he shall warn him according to the command of Christ and shall admonish him in a Christian and brotherly way, as everyone is bound and obliged to do out of love.
만일 어떤 지체가 다른 지체의 죄 범한 것을 보았다면, 그는 그리스도의 명령에 따라 모든 사람에게 사랑의 명령을 실천하듯, 죄를 범한 형제에게 경고하되 그리스도인으로서 형제 사랑의 방법으로 권면해야 한다.
Of all the brothers and sisters of this congregation none shall have anything of his own, but rather, as the Christians in the time of the apostles held all in common, and especially stored up a common fund, from which aid can be given to the poor, according as each will have need, and as in the apostles time permit no brother to be in need.
교회의 형제 자매들은 초대교회의 그리스도인들이 모든 것을 통용해서 나눈 것처럼, 특별히 공동의 기금을 마련해서 가난한 자들을 돕고 각 사람의 필요에 따라 나눠주고 어느 누구도 부족한 사람이 없도록 어느 누구도 자기 것을 자기 것이라고 주장해서는 안 된다.
All gluttony shall be avoided among the brothers who are gathered in the congregation; serve a soup or a minimum of vegetable and meat, for eating and drinking are not the kingdom of heaven.
교회의 이름으로 모인 형제들은 과식이나 과음을 해서는 안 된다. 하나님의 나라는 먹고 마시는 것에 있지 아니하기 때문이다. 음식은 스프나 최소한의 야채 , 고기를 섭취하는 것으로 충분하다.
The Lord's supper shall be held, as often as the brothers are together, thereby proclaiming the death of the Lord, and thereby warning each one to commemorate, how Christ gave His life for us, and shed His blood for us, that we might also be willing to give our body and life for Christ's sake, which means for the sake of all the brothers.
주의 만찬은 주님께서 우리를 위해 어떠한 삶을 사셨고 어떻게 죽으셨는지를 기억함으로써 우리도 주님을 위하여, 주께서 죽으신 모든 형제들을 위하여, 우리의 생명과 삶을 내어 주겠다는 다짐의 표시로써 형제들을 서로 권면하기 위하여 될 수 있으면 모일 때마다 자주 거행해야 한다.
